Short, because there is not much to tell
Just looking around
Browsing the site stores nothing about you on our side. There are no cookies, no advertising trackers and no third party analytics. We count how many times each page is opened, as a plain number per day, with nothing that says who opened it. Your day or night choice, a notice you have dismissed and a business key you have signed in with are saved in your own browser only, because you chose them, and never sent to us. Our server keeps the ordinary short term logs every web server keeps, used only to keep the site running and not shared.
Ride requests, quote requests and reviews
A ride request or a quote request is passed to the drivers or the trade you asked, with the details you typed, so they can ring you. A driver only sees your phone number once you have picked their price. A review is published with your first name and last initial only; your email is kept so we can confirm the review was yours and is never shown. Drivers who go on duty share their position from their own phone by their own choice; it is rounded before anyone sees it, and wiped the moment they go off duty or their phone stops reporting.
How long we keep things
Bookings, orders and requests are kept for as long as the business needs them to serve you and then for our records for up to two years. Mailing list addresses are kept until you leave. Reviews stay up unless you ask us to take yours down.
Things you send us
When you book a room, order food, add an event or ask to list a business, we keep what you typed for as long as it is needed to do that job: your name, how to reach you, and the details of the booking or order. It is passed to the business you booked with, because they need it to serve you, and to nobody else. We never see or store card details: payment happens on the business's own payment page.
Emails
We email you only about something you did here, a booking confirmation for instance. If you join a mailing list you can leave it from any email we send.
Outside services the pages use
Maps are drawn with tiles from CARTO and OpenStreetMap, and fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser fetches those from their servers when a page loads, the same as on most websites. Live buses, trains, tides, weather and traffic are fetched by our server, not by your browser, so those providers never see you.
Businesses on the site
If you run a listing here, the details you give us for the public page are public. Your payment links, private notes and contact details for bookings are shown only to you and to the people who book with you.
